In San Francisco in 2018, China’s Representative for Climate Change Affairs, Xie Zhenhua, launched the Global Climate Action Initiative with Co-Chair Michael Bloomberg. Speaking collectively for the first time on a global stage, philanthropists Niu Gensheng, Dang Yanbao, and a number of other philanthropic organizations, foundations and research organizations offered their strong support for the Paris Agreement and pledged themselves to this global effort to curb climate change.
