On November 22, 2019, East-West Philanthropy Forum officially launched the English book titled “With Art As My Weapon” and co-authored by Mr. Soichiro Fukutake (Honorary Co-Chair of EWPF) and Jay Henderson (Senior Advisor of EWPF) in Beijing Cathay View Culture Center, partnering with China Global Philanthropy Institute. Around sixty Chinese philanthropists, foundation executives, artists, journalists and experts in philanthropy attended the launching ceremony hosted by Ms. Zhang Rui (COO of EWPF). At the ceremony, Mr. Fukutake elaborated his 30-year philanthropic efforts to revitalize Japanese remote islands called “Naoshima Methods” while Dr. Wang Qinghong (Executive Vice President and CEO of EWPF) summarized and analyzed the essence of Mr. Fukutake’s philosophy in philanthropy.
