International Philanthropic Innovation Circle: China-US Young Leaders Workshop on Social Innovation

From January 2 to 6, 2019, International Philanthropic Innovation Young Leaders Workshop was held successfully in Hawaii. This workshop was a study tour for young philanthropic leaders to explore philanthropic innovation. It was also the first strategic planning meeting for members of International Philanthropic Innovation Circle (IPIC). During the workshop, Niu Ben, Chairman of Laoniu Brother & Sister Foundation, was formally nominated as the Co-Chair of IPIC.

Mentors including Dr. Sun Suifang (Granddaughter of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Chair of Sun Yat-sen Peace & Education Foundation), Mr. Fukutake Soichiro (Honorary Advisor, Former Chairman and CEO of Benesse Holdings), Ms. Dawn Lippert (CEO of Nature’s Essence Innovative Accelerator - donated by Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of Steve Jobs), Mr. Cole Wilbur (Former President of David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Honorary Director), Mr. Nainoa Thompson (world-famous Hawaiian navigator, President of the Polynesian Voyaging Society), Mr. Henk Rogers (Founder of Blue Planet Foundation), Mr. Wally Suha (Co-founder of Suha Foundation) and others, attended the workshop and shared their observations and experiences with IPIC members.
